Modular toxic chemical plant in a zone-1 area

This Modular Plant is for small-scale operation for toxic chemical make-up and dosing in a zone 1 area. It is manufactured in-house in our ISO3834 facilities and placed on-site as a plug-and-play plant. It includes:

  • A 2,500 l Chemical receiving tank.
  • A 1,500 l Mixing tank and 1500l dosing tank.
  • The tanks are equipped with forced vent extraction and certified flame arrestors.
  • The plant is powered by a 4x Nikkiso centrifugal canned motor, an API 685-compliant pump, a BSK AODD pump, and Lewa LDB API 675-compliant pumps.
  • Fox high-pressure pulsation dampeners are used for the Lewa chemical injection pumps and from Blacoh for the back pressure and pressure relief valves.
  • All equipment is zone 1 compliant.

Lewa Process pump skids

  • These stainless-steel skid-mounted process pumps from Lewa are designed to fit into a very small footprint and were integrated into an existing system.
  • Our team designed and manufactured the installation, which was seamless.
  • Powered by the trusted brand, Lewa LDE3 food-grade pumps perform 24/7, with 365 operations at 135 bar pressure.
  • The manifold design and pulsation dampeners from FOX ensure that the system is free of vibration, leading to less wear on the pumps, pipes, and nozzles.

Fully modular stainless-steel plant, fabricated in our facilities

This modular stainless steel plant was fabricated in our facilities and shipped in containers. The plant is shipped in container-sized pieces for easy export transportation and onsite installation. The plant consists of:

  • 5 x stainless steel tanks ranging from 1,000 l to 5,000 l.
  • All tanks are equipped with forced vent extraction and certified flame arrestors.
  • The plant is powered by 6x Nikkiso centrifugal Canned motor API 685 compliant pumps, a BSK AODD pump, and 8 Lewa LDB1 and LDC1 metering API 675 compliant pumps.
  • Fox high-pressure pulsation dampeners ensure laminar flow and trusted Blacoh back pressure and pressure relief valves.
  • All equipment complies with the zone 1 area.
  • The comprehensive data pack includes electrical COC, AI Certs and Hazardous area classification.

Heavy duty mining roll cage for BSK range from 1” to 3”

One of our mining customers needed a solution to manoeuvre these BSK AODD pumps underground, so our team designed the extra heavy-duty roll cage. The advantages of this solution are:

  • One person can roll a 3” pump without lifting the pump.

  • They requested an accurate pneumatically driven chemical injection skid that offers mobility. It had to move seamlessly in the factory to fulfil multiple recipe blending applications.

Self-contained receiving, blending and chemical injection plant

 

This plant is a fully self-contained receiving, blending and chemical injection modular plant consisting of:

  • Stainless steel containment bund.
  • 1x 2,500 l Stainless steel receiving tank.
  • 1x 2,500 l Stainless steel mixing tank.
  • 1x 2,500 l Stainless steel dosing tank.
  • All the above tanks are equipped with certified flame arrestors, forced vent extraction and S trap overflow with sight glass.
  • The receiving tank has a BSK stainless steel AODD pump for transferring from IBC to the tank.
  • A polyethylene water tank (used as a diluting medium) is equipped with a Lewa LDD1 API 675-compliant pump for accurate volumetric transfer.
  • The receiving tank transfers metered batches of neat product to the mixing tank using Lewa LDB1 for accurate volumetric transfer.
  • The BSK AODD pump transfers mixed medium to the dosing tank and suspends it.
  • Lewa metering pumps power chemical injection to serve 7 dosing points of LCA3 and LCC4 API 675 complaint chemical injection pumps. 
  • A mag flow meter and stroke actuators individually control each metering pump head to deliver dosing accuracy within 1% of the setpoint.
  • All equipment installed complies with Zone 1, as build hazardous are classified plus AI certification.

Pneumatic driven chemical injection skid

  • These popular complete chemical injection units are versatile for a quick and easy dosing solution.
  • Just connect compressed air, product supply line and discharge line.
  • Safe to use in intrinsically safe areas.
  • It is very popular for offshore use.
  • We can fit these units with wheels or height-adjustable feet.
  • It has a suction strainer, calibration pot, PRV back to the suction line, panel-mount operation valves, pressure gauge, and Blacoh back pressure valves.
  • A Checkpoint pump is driving these units, delivering extremely high delivery pressures.
  • Depending on the plant’s requirements, specific models can deliver up to 827,4 BARG pressures with only a 13,8 BARG compressed air supply.

Custom chemical coupon holders for a local refinery

We designed retractable chemical corrosion coupon holders and injection quills for a local refinery.

  • We designed and built these coupon holders in-house.
  • The design allows the operator to remove the corrosion coupon without stopping their processes.

Remote refinery application injection unit

The injection unit was designed for a remote chemical injection station. It includes the following:

  • This unit is powered by the series 4500 Checkpoint pump.
  • The unit and skid design ensures ease of installation.
  • 25 l Calibration pot.
  • Fox high-pressure pulsation dampener.
  • Full stainless steel skid construction.
  • Height adjustable feet.
  • At 6 l/h, this pump can deliver up to 1050 bar pressure with only 10.34 bar inlet pressure.

Modular receiving, blending and chemical injection plant

The fully self-contained receiving, blending and chemical injection modular plant consists of:

  • Stainless steel containment bunds.
  • 1x 1,500 l Stainless steel receiving/mixing tank filled from IBC via gravity.
  • 1x 1,000 l Stainless steel dosing tank.
  • All the above tanks are equipped with certified flame arrestors and S-trap overflow with sight glass.
  • A polyethylene water tank (used as a diluting medium) is equipped with a Lewa LDD1 API 675-compliant pump for accurate volumetric transfer.
  • Inline mixing of the neat medium and water feeds the dosing tank.
  • BSK AODD pump keeps the medium in the dosing tank in suspension.
  • The unit is powered by Lewa chemical injection pumps to serve 3 dosing points, which are made up of LCC3 API 675-compliant metering pumps.
  • Each metering pump head is individually controlled by mag flow meters and stroke actuators to deliver dosing accuracy within 1% of the setpoint.
  • All installed equipment complies with Zone 1 and build hazardous area classification and AI certification.

Sometimes, simplicity is the answer. The advantages of using this simple solution are:

  • This small ¼” BSK pump and carry cage make it easy to use and prevent the mobile pump from falling over.
  • Equipped with quick-release couplings on the suction and discharge for ease of use.

BSK pumps for circulating sheer sensitive medium

We used BSK stainless steel pumps to circulate the sheer sensitive medium.

  • These permanent skid mount pumps are installed to circulate sheer sensitive product.
  • Pumps are installed on vibration mounts with flexible stainless steel joints and Blacoh pulsation dampeners to minimise shaking lines.

 

    BSK mobile Uber for chemical manufacturing facility

    Chemical manufacturing plants use BSK AODD pumps. In most applications, the pumps must be able to multitask and be moved around the plant to different locations. This is why we chose Uber:

    • The mobile pump Uber is designed to host all configurations and material selections in the BSK range from 1” to 3”.
    • You can choose a full stainless steel or powder-coated frame.
    • The mobile Uber can be converted to a carry frame for uneven and unpaved sites by removing the wheels and replacing them with height-adjustable feet.

    36-Ton plant breaks up in container-sized pieces

    We designed and built a fully modular stainless-steel plant designed and build in our facilities. The 36-ton plant breaks up into container-sized pieces for ease of transport and installation onsite featuring:

    • 5 x tanks ranging from 5,000 l to 2,500 l.
    • All tanks are equipped with forced vent extraction and certified flame arrestors.
    • The plant is powered by 4x Nikkiso Canned motor API 685 compliant pumps, 6x BSK stainless steel AODD pumps, and 6 Lewa LDB1 and LDC1 API 675 Compliant pumps.
    • Fox high-pressure pulsation dampeners with rupture detection are used for the dosing pumps and Blacoh back pressure and pressure relief valves.
    • All Equipment complies with the zone 1 area.
    • The plant is fully automated with very little operator interface.

    Odorization skid in a cabinet by Lewa GmbH

    This imported Lewa odorization package was designed and fabricated in Germany by OEM Lewa.

    • The plant comes as a complete unit for ease of installation.
    • The plant is driven by Lewa M series pumps, and it is fully automated.
    • Lewa has been at the forefront of designing and producing world-class odorization skids for decades.
    • These units were for export purposes for Mercaptan dosing.
    • These odorization units inject various chemicals, such as Ethyl Mercaptan, Spotleak 1007, Spotleak 1005, etc.

    Standalone pneumatic driven chemical unit

    Our modular designs, including the injection skid frame, make it easy to bolt them to our bund and 1,500 l tank.

    • These units are extremely popular due to their simplistic installation and reliability.
    • The tank can be filled by gravity from an IBC or by using the BSK pump mounted behind it to fill or circulate it.
    • No power is required as all the pumps are pneumatically driven.
    • This unit is powered by the Checkpoint 1500 series pump.
    • Platform available as an additional option for safe and easy access.

    Local refinery uses BSK pumps for submersible applications

    We designed and installed a submersible application system for a leading local refinery, using BSK pumps.

    • Pump Solve’s competent designing team will always design any accessories or skid /pump frame units so modular that our products that we manufacture can multitask and be used for most pump models in our range.
    • Utilising our very popular heavy-duty mining roll cage fitted with a lifting eye bolt on the top of the cage, Pump Solve made it possible for our customer to use the standard BSK pump as a fully submersible pump.
    • In addition, we designed and fabricated an accessory trolly to mount the silencer, regulator and extension piping for the pneumatic supply and to extend the exhaust port to the surface.

    Condensate transfers under high pressure

    • This 6200 series Checkpoint pump set is built to the customer’s requirements.
    • It works under harsh conditions and requires little maintenance and constant supply pressure.
    • The robust full stainless-steel frame and skid layout makes it easy to install and operate.

    Modular plant using the customer’s current infrastructure

    This was a very challenging design as the Pump Solve team converted a plant designed to dissolve solid pallets to make chemicals and then gravity dosing from header tanks to a fully liquid road tanker offloading configuration.

    • The ideal system for dealing with hazardous areas that require AIA hazardous area classification is to decommission all remote satellite tanks and intermediate dosing stations.
    • The design team designed the modular plant. We built it in our own ISO 3834 facilities and then installed and integrated it with what was available on-site.
    • This reagent plant has its own potable water station and is fully automated.
    • The plant comprises 32,000 l stainless steel storage tanks and 2,500 l mixing and dosing tanks.
    • The plant is powered by multi-plex Lewa LDB2 and LDC3 chemical injection pumps.
    • Transfer and mixing are driven by the iconic Nikkiso canned motor pump.
    • Laminar flow on the chemical injection lines is guaranteed, as we rely on the Fox pulsation dampener and Blacoh backpressure valves.
    • The non-clogging Discflo pump will always take the lead in keeping the sump clean.
    • Furthermore, the pumps are controlled via a live system, and flow rates are controlled via stroke actuators.
    • The make-up process is fully automated, and all equipment is zone 1 compliant.
